Winter

Winter Snowstorm measures 16X20 framed.
It was done as a demo, using salt to give the effect of snow.
I also used texture medium on the tree branches.
This is a very simple picture that is perfect to show beginners new techniques.
It also turns out well, even if not very artistic!

Winter Scene measures 16X20 framed.
This was also done as part of the demo, but here the salt did not work effectively, as the surface was too dry when the salt was sprinkled on.

Winter River is my newest winter scene.
It is a watercolor measuring 16X20.
It is rare for me to do a winter scene in the middle of our winter, as I would rather "pray" for spring, and do bright colored images at that time. I used several new colors on my palette though, and totally enjoyed the experience.
