Summer Flowers

I have done several bouquets of roses as commission work, but none are available for cards. The first one was a dozen red roses, that was ruined by not spraying, and by the third reprint at the printer, it looked as if someone had sat upon it. My printer now has a new method of scanning it into the computer, so my original is only used once. Another bouquet with a vase and white tablecloth was sold to a friend without a picture being taken. I hope to put out another bouquet soon, but probably not in time for Valentines Day.

Wild Daisies measures 11x14 framed.
Daisies are such an easy flower to render. There are so many varieties, that no matter what your picture looks like, there will be a variety that looks just like it. You can also cheat and use a cup to outline your flower.

Buttercup measures 11x14 framed.
I took a number of pictures of this flower while in Puerto Vallarta, but it was not until I got home and researched the flower that I found out its name. My leaves are more like the examples in my research material, but the ones in Mexico had a small varigated leaf. Mexico also had a pink variety. They were on our patio and around the houses where we stayed. They were very hardy and seemed to withstand the heat very well. I am still not convinced that the flowers in Mexico are Buttercups.
